Sudan’s Permanent Representative in Geneva Meets MSF Executive

The Permanent Representative of Sudan to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Ali Ibn Abi Talib, met at his office, Tuesday, the executive director of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Stephen Cornish. The meeting discussed activities of the Organization in Sudan, especially efforts to support the transitional government to address the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as help the Federal Ministry of Health programs to strengthen the capacity of the health system in Sudan. The meeting also reviewed ways of the (MSF) organization to assist the government’s efforts, by providing humanitarian and medical aid to refugees from Al-Tiqray region who arrived in refugee camps in eastern Sudan states. It is worth mentioning that the MSF executive director Stephen Cornish would visit Sudan from 4 to 15 of current February, where he will meet the Prime Minister and a number of government officials .
